Feeding Guide
Hound's Salmon Steaks are intended as a supplementary food and should not exceed 10% of a dog's total daily caloric intake. The remaining 90% should come from a complete and balanced diet. As this treat is energy-dense, portion control is essential.
Feeding Method
Hound Salmon Steaks can be served whole or snapped into smaller portions. For senior dogs, small breeds, or those with dental sensitivities, the pieces may be softened briefly in water. Ensure fresh drinking water is available at all times and supervise while feeding.
When introducing any new food, do it gradually. Offer a small portion daily for the first three days and watch for changes in stool consistency and behaviour. If it remains normal, increase to the recommended amount over the next 4–7 days.
Storage
Freeze-drying stabilises raw meat, making it safe and shelf-stable at ambient temperatures. Once opened, store in a sealed container or bag in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture absorption. Use any rehydrated portions within 24 hours.
